About us

Beech House Veterinary Centre was established in 1956 by Mr Tom Kennea on Lances Hill, moving to Beech House in 1964.

Mr Kluth and Mr Oxenham developed the practice in the 1970s and 80s. Mr Kluth, who qualified in 1960, joined the practice in 1961. In 1981 he was President of The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA). Mr Oxenham qualified in 1959 and joined the practice in 1968. He was co-author of the 1991 edition of the BSAVA Manual of Exotic Pets.

Mr Campbell qualified in 1981 and joined the practice in 1983 until 2017. We now have four veterinary surgeons, a practice manager, a growing number of qualified and trainee veterinary nurses (Beech House is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Approved Training Practice), and other administration and reception staff.
