Veterinary Surgeons
Graham Campbell B Vet Med MRCVS
Graham qualified from The Royal Veterinary College, University of London, in 1981. After 2 years of mixed practice, including work at Woburn Safari Park, he joined Beech House in 1983.
Kate le Bars BVSc MRCVS
Kate joined the practice in 2007, having worked abroad and locally for almost 20 years. She is an experienced surgeon, with a particular interest in soft tissue surgery.
Aneta Kocol MRCVS
Aneta joined us from Poland in 2010
Bill Hickey MRCVS
Bill qualified from Cambridge Veterinary School in July 2011 and joined the practice in the following August. He has a keen interest in canine and feline medicine, and outside of work enjoys walking, cycling, racket sports and painting.
Ana Perez Castro MRCVS
Ana Graduated from the University of Saragossa in Spain in 2008 and joined Beech House in January 2012 having previously worked for a referall clinic and emergency centre. Ana shares her flat with her 'house' rabbit.
Nursing Staff
Hannah Jane Drinkwater RVN
Hannah is the Head Veterinary Nurse and the team leader for the rest of the nursing staff. Hannah joined Beech House in 2002. She attended Sparsholt College and qualified as a Veterinary nurse in 2006. At home Hannah has her rescue Dog Olive and three cats. Hannah is currently on maternity leave.
Ellie Grist RVN
Ellie joined Beech House in 1992, having been in charge of a boarding kennels & grooming facility. She attended Sparsholt Agricultural College on day release, passing her pre vet nursing qualification with distinctions in all subjects, to enable her to go to the full NVQ Veterinary Nursing course in 2003. Ellie passed her level 3 nursing exams in 2005. Ellie is deputy to the practice manager and is currently acting as head nurse during Hannah's maternity leave.
Lizzie Nicol RVN
Lizzie came to work at Beech House in 2007 after completing the National Diploma in Animal management at Sparsholt College. She qualified as a Veterinary nurse in March 2010 and is currently on maternity leave.
Ruth Stock
Ruth joined Beech House in 1997. She studied with Waltham Pet Nutrition in 2000, gaining her Pet Health Counsellor award. She passed her pre vet nursing exams on day release at Sparsholt in 2002, & is on a maternity break from studying whilst still working at Beech House. Ruth intends to re-start her studies in September 2013 as both her children will be at school full time.
Jenny Cook tVN
Jenny joined Beech House in November 2006 after completing the National Diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt college. She is currently in her third year of Veterinary Nurse training. At home Jenny has a dog, Louie, 2 rabbits and 2 birds.
Lauren Armstrong RVN
Lauren was in charge of Hill Cottage Kennels for many years, before the business closed with the retirement of the owners. Having known the practice for many years we soon realised what an assett Lauren would be with her knowledge. Lauren breeds & shows Basset Hounds. Her house is full to the brim with 8 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and a parrot.
Lauren McCarthy tVN
Lauren joined Beech house in 2008 and started her Veterinary Nurse training in 2010. At home Lauren lives with her labrador Boomer and cat Ronan. Lauren has just passed her 2nd year exams and is now working towards her final exams next year.
Sarah Herbert tVN
Sarah is the newst addition to the nursing team. She joined Beech House in 2010 after completing the Diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College and is currently undertaking her Veterinary Nurse training. Sarah has just passed her second year exams and and is now working towards her final exams next year.
Practice Manager
Sue Pearce
Sue joined Beech House in 1964 as a trainee nurse. There's not a lot she doesn't know about veterinary practice!
Receptionists
Larissa Powers
Having grown up at Beech House Lara returned in 2010 after graduating with 1st class honours in the Veterinary Nursing Degree from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2009. Lara is now working as receptionist due to a spinal problem.
Sylvia Oliver
Sylvia has been with Beech House since 1974.
